The theme for the second day of the children’s program came from the verses, II Corinthians 5:21 and Isaiah 53:4-6. We talked about how Jesus took our sins upon himself on the cross including shame, abuse, anger and everything else that is contrary to who He is. We also talked about how by His resurrection power He did not stay dead but rose again so that we can have new life and freedom in Him. During the soaking session, we washed the children’s feet as a way to show them how Jesus has cleansed them from shame. Many of the children had not experienced this before and it brought some of them to tears. They were deeply impacted by this expression of love.
Wednesday night we once again joined our Casa de Jesus family for their church service. We began the service with anointed worship followed by a powerful word from Troy. He preached out of Psalm 4 and encouraged the body to remember that Jesus not only meets our needs, but also releases joy and gladness in our lives. At the end of the service people in the congregation received prayer to have more of this joy and gladness released in their lives.
