Release from Physical Attack

Yesterday, I was gripped with a headache. After soaking [spending time waiting on God] for over an hour the pain persisted and continued to build. I took a stand for healing, so when the pain grew to be unbearable I knew I had to find someone who could join me in prayer. I was planning on going to the church for one of our weekly prayer times.

On the way up there I called Pastor Mary Pat, whose husband is with one of our teams in Ghana, Africa. She and others agreed with me in prayer. It was until later we received a word from the Lord that this pain was a direct result of the warfare being experienced with the team in Ghana. By this time I was vomiting as the pain and fever continued to build. We were encouraged to continue praising and when some others arrived for prayer to anoint my head with oil and pray for my heart.

Before the others arrived the headache and fever had broken with only a trace of pain in my head. As another believer anointed me with oil and began to pray I was struck with another wave of warfare. Both my stomach, head and body fluctuated with pain and fever. The nausea had returned as well.

It wasn’t until we all joined Theresa over in a circle on the couches and began to pray for the team members in Ghana by name that peace began to rest over my heart and mind. Name by name we all contributed to the team in prayer. When we reached the last person peace had set up a mighty fortress of deliverance. Mike suggested we all go down to the Jackson Park Carnival and invite people to Saturday nights Edge Bible study at the Pastor Bill and Mary Pat’s house. My stomach was still a little weak and my body with it, but I agreed to go anyway. On the way over there I put another call to Pastor Mary Pat. I reported the breakthrough, and she told me that she was proud of us for pressing in through prayer and seeing the victory, and that now we should take the spoil from the enemy. I was unsure of what the spoil would look like when Andrew and I headed out to walk and pray the perimeter of the park. Near the end of our circumference the Holy Spirit motioned me to walk a little further beyond the path to the road and then pick back up on the road and complete the circuit. When I did this Andrew and I were meet by five guys, there spokesman Josh, boisterously announced to us if we knew anywhere they could get fake I.D’s. As fast as we all meet along the path our conversation built on the topic of the supernatural love of the Father. It wasn’t until began to pray for the team members in Ghana by name that peace began to rest over my heart and mind. Name by name we all contributed to the team in prayer. When we reached the last person, peace had set up a mighty fortress of deliverance [in my body].
