Our team had the privilege of joining Iris Ministries in planting a church in Chidenguele. We spent two evenings in this village, holding a crusade and seeing many people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Pastor Nico was able to meet us in this village, participating in the crusade and translating for our team. (We met Pastor Nico in 2003 on a revival bush outreach, and he is now the pastor at the Zimpeto children’s center.)
During our crusade, we saw the Lord pour out His Spirit on many who came, and over 500 people received salvation and many testified of physical healing. Our hearts were encouraged as we saw God draw many to Himself through His love and power.
Iris Ministries currently has land in this village, and four men from Chidenguele will attend an Iris Bible school to become pastors and leaders in the church that is being built. FMI had the privilege of contributing to the building supplies for this new church, and we look forward to seeing all that God will do in the lives of the people. What a privilege to be a part of what God is doing in Chidenguele!
