Pastor José Mozambique Project

Pastor José is part of the core leadership for Iris Ministries, which is experiencing revival in Mozambique and other surrounding countries. He serves on the leadership team of Iris Ministries with Heidi and Rolland Baker (the directors), and Suprise Sithole.  As the Mozambican Senior Pastor, Pastor José also works with Eduardo, who leads the Iris Bible schools.  God is moving powerfully in revival, currently impacting more than 10,000 Iris churches.  Pastor José’s testimony, evangelistic and healing ministry, and intimacy with the Spirit of God are amazing.  He moves in incredible signs, wonders, and miracles!

About 117 kilometers north of Maputo, Pastor José Novela of Iris Ministries has started a new ministry endeavor: the Linha da Frente (Frontline) Project. His vision is to bring transformation to the region through micro enterprise opportunities and youth development. In addition to growing and harvesting pineapples and cassava, 15 of his 30 acres will be used for continued farming of various fruits and vegetables. He also will incorporate a wood working/furniture-making business, the raising of pigs and goats (making cheese from the goats), and other business opportunities.

Pastor José has a vision for a sports training facility. He is establishing a Christian Soccer Academy for children, which will also include dormitories, a stadium and athletic house. Children from the streets will be educated and trained up in the Lord, with a skill/trade, and then sent out to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom. These young people will be raised up with a Kingdom mentality, to become leaders and influencers in their society and around the world.

He is also building a church on the compound, with housing for guests and visitors, an office building, and kitchen/dining hall. Thousands of bricks have also been made, not only for construction purposes of Linha da Frente, but also for other churches/businesses.
