Village Outreach in Nhamatanda

On Monday night (July 23), our team was able to travel with Pastor Jose to a village in Nhamatanda to hold a crusade. As we set up our sound system and lights, a crowd began to gather as people began to come out of their huts to see what was going on. Men, women, and children gathered to join in the praise and joyously dance together. We were able to perform Released for them, a short drama used to illustrate the Gospel message. Many team members were then able to share the good news of Jesus Christ and how each person can receive salvation through Him. About ten people prayed to give their lives to the Lord.

After praying for salvation, Pastor Mary Pat shared testimonies of God’s healing power and encouraged those who were sick to reach out for a touch from God. After praying for their healing, many of those who had come forward testified that pain had left their bodies. One woman shared that she had a headache that had been so painful she had visited the hospital. In a short time, Jesus completely healed this woman’s headache. She was also unable to see from her left eye as a sickness destroyed her vision. Through prayer, she was able to see flashes of light for the first time in years.

After seeing the power of the Gospel demonstrated, we asked the crowd if any more people would like to receive Jesus as their Savior. We led them in a prayer to receive salvation, and many people raised their hands and joined in prayer to give their lives to Christ. It was awesome to see God drawing these precious people to Himself throughout the entire evening. Praise God for His great love!
