The Journey

Excitement and adventure filled the air as our team of thirteen prepared to begin our journey into the bush villages of Mozambique for three weeks. We will be traveling in a small bus with our dear friend and brother, Pastor Jose’, a mighty man of God who is a leader of Iris Ministries in Mozambique. Our days will be filled with travel, ministry, off road “bathrooms,” peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cooking over open fires, and many other adventures in the bush. In all things, we thank God for the opportunity to be here and to be His hands and feet in Mozambique.

As we stopped in one town to buy bread, we were able to perform a short drama and share the Gospel with a crowd of children that had gathered. Ten responded to the message and prayed to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. Even small stops for lunch become opportunities in the Lord’s hands.

Whether we are ministering beside the side of the road in a small town, performing a drama in an African village, praying over a small child, or preaching from a crusade stage, we want to see the Lord’s kingdom increase through our lives. It is such a privilege to be carriers of His glory. His love is endless, His faithfulness unfailing, His goodness incomparable. May His Name be lifted high in Mozambique!
