Leper Colony for Jesus

Partnering with a leper colony in Rajahmundry, India is a fantastic opportunity to love others like Jesus. Founded in 1972, the Emmanuel Leper Colony is home to 28 lepers and their families. After being divinely connected to this ministry, Frontline Ministries International is working to help bring hope and life to these “untouchables.”

During our first visit in 2009, the team was able to minister the love of Jesus and pray for healing – seeing the open, seeping sores on one man’s legs dry up over the course of just a few days; we also provided 600 pounds of rice and were able to meet some of the other basic needs of the residents.

In March of 2010, a team again returned to Rajahmundry to reach out to the lepers. CompassionOn this trip, our team was able to provide a feast for the residents, treating them as honored guests at a banquet. The pastors overseeing the work told us those at the colony had never had a meal like this.

Frontline Ministries International is in an ongoing partnership with Emmanuel Leper Colony, providing regular support for meeting daily needs of the residents.
