Throughout our time in Trichur, we were able to teach them much from God’s Word: they were eager for what God wanted to speak to them, especially eager to learn more on how to experience times in God’s presence. Several family friends came to the Lord through our time together, and we were able to see how God was bringing them into His specific calling for the kingdom.
The second location of ministry was at the city of Hubli, located about 800km NNE from Trichur. Being a more rural area and with a much smaller percentage of Christians, Hubli was more difficult in terms of spiritual oppression but was also very ripe for hearing the truth of God’s love. We spent the first three days preaching/teaching at a revival service composed of several area churches. We were able to present different aspects of God’s love which were not normally a consideration because of cultural limitations. We had several pastors and church leaders come forward asking us to pray that they receive more of that type of intimate love of Father God. We feel as though there is a great outpouring of God’s Spirit destined for those in that region who are willing and hungry for more of His presence.
We also had an opportunity to be involved with a three-day open-air crusade in a more remote region, drawing from four villages. We encountered many who had to make a decision to remain under the confines of their Hindi ancestry and be accepted by society or find freedom within their hearts by making a decision to follow only Jesus. The demonstration of God’s power and love through many being instantly healed of deafness and blindness turned many hearts from dead idols toward a loving God.
